7yYou are correct. There are a lot of good people that work at Weidenhammer. And being that you were here for over 20 years, I’m sure you know that.
Regarding the “culture from the 70s and 80s”, our company is now 41 years old. We are very fortunate to have many team members who have been here 25 and 30 plus years. That in itself tells you how many team members feel about the company and how they have been treated. We don’t view long-term employees as a negative. These people are very experienced, provide mentorship to our younger staff, and have forged important long-term relationships with our customers.
Regarding our CEO, John Weidenhammer, yes he is unique. He has built a great company over the last 41 years. In addition, he has been very active in the Reading and Berks County communities, always striving to make this area a better place to work and live. No question, when he retires, he will be truly missed. However, there will be a plan in place that will allow the company to prosper long after he retires.
