Pros

Doing groundbreaking work in an exciting industry

Cons

Funded by investment. Rumours abound that shareholders & investors are twitchy. Employees suffer as a result of reactive decisions with limited long-term planning from an employee perspective. Restroom facilities sub-standard and would unlikely pass a HSE inspection.

Pros

Pay is competitive Flexible working City centre office

Cons

Wejo has been burning cash for a long time. The question is, will it ever become profitable. My view is that the writing is on the wall, and it's just a matter of time until the cash finally runs out. The business model is sound, but I believe the potential demand for CV data has been exaggerated. Hence the expected exponential growth never happened. If you are a risk taker, go for it. But don't expect this to be a long term career move. The turnover of staff is astonishing. The people that are there are not competent in general, particularly the senior management. They are made up of a collection of people from all kinds of non-relevant industires, and very few have any clue about how OEM's operate. The work entails creating endless powerpoints, and trying to figure out how to make any money with all the data. As metioned in other posts, the senior management are really not up it (my opinion of course). The strategy changes almost daily. They are much more interested in marketing strap lines than actually engineering solutions. It's all style and very little substance. The CEO's pet projects are a massive distraction, and the company seems to be unable to focus on the where the value is.
