Pros

You can make a real difference to people who need it

Cons

Everything else. The company does not care about you. I don't remember large sections of my time working there because it was legitimately traumatic to me. The work you do is exhausting and emotionally draining and the expectations are incredibly high will poor compensation that the company is always trying to figure out how to cut. Had a meeting to talk about a topic that got a bit heated in the last meeting because people felt the company was abusing its power over the lower level employees and not listening to their concerns. Higher management came to part of the meeting and spent the entire time they were there scolding employees for voicing themselves in the last meeting. This is very typical of how they treat you.

Pros

Benefits were decent but pay was unfair. Great location and T Pass reimbursement. Good tuition benefit. Employee recognition was good but needed work on program.

Cons

Inexperienced management and leadership. Nothing done even after survey scores showed this. Human Resources completely ineffective when working with staff problems. No one in the department seemed to be able to make a decision without checking with 3 lawyers first.

Toxic Working Culture

Pros

- Location of the Building: Back Bay- plenty of restaurants & shops. - 401k options - Healthcare is a booming field - HR is trying to change the working culture

Cons

- Office Location: The office are located on top of a mall, elevators hardly work properly, bring your own lunch otherwise you will spend most of your lunch just getting out/getting back to the office. - Management: Directors/Managers/Supervisors are never on the same page due to lack of communication and making alot of assumptions. Management discloses very little information when major changes will occur. - Red tape: Unless you're really close friends with management it will be hard to get a promotion; you'll have to kill yourself until management starts to consider you for a bump up. Manager of one dept brought in their son and in less than a year in the son received a big time promotion leaving long time employees who deserved the promotion out of luck. HR/Management ultimately DO NOT CARE when you bring concerns to light. They'll listen, write notes and NOTHING HAPPENS. - Workflows for over 80% of the departments are outdated - Very little communication between departments; departments pointing at each other like little children... they spend more time "fighting" than resolving issues. - The company puts faith in old technology - Benefits keep going up, yearly raises for most go down (last year there were no raises). The biggest problem here is Management across the board. 95% of directors/managers/supervisors need to be replaced.
