Pros

Nursing supervisory staff are excellent. CNA's and RA's are great to work with and polite. Nice benefit package. After you have been here 5 years +, you get three weeks of vacation!

Cons

We are needing more great people to fill open positions!

ABSOLUTELY! We work hard to continue to make improvements to the work experience so that we can attract and keep people who are focused on the services we offer to older adults. Thanks for your positive outlook and for your contributions to our mission!

Pros

Residents and families are nice. Really good benefits and there is AFLAC. Direct supervisors and management at the building are nice. The building management is really nice and they do fun stuff for the employees. There are lots of fun programs to stay healthy. They pay 100% for stop smoking stuff!

Cons

No PTO. Cannot use sick time for sick kids or doctor appointments, so you use up your vacation time fast. Pay is low compared to other aide jobs. They charge a lot if you want to eat the food. Some of the good supervisors and management are quitting. People are afraid of losing their job if they disagree with the corporate people or make suggestions that important people don't like. You are ok if you keep your mouth shut when the bigwigs are around. Just agree with them, its easier!

Thank you for your support of the team! The work we do in our local communities is critical to our success and we appreciate the teams and the leadership in each community we serve. We have big plans for our time off in 2016!. We have been listening and we are looking forward to announcing positive changes very soon. We are excited that the new changes will address many of the concerns you've expressed. We also hear you about keeping our great leaders. We have had several changes recently for a variety of reasons and are aware of the strain this puts on the organization. We are working hard to find the right people to fill these key roles and are looking forward to bringing new talent on the team. We strive to maintain positive, open communication and involve local leaders in decisions. The perception of a disconnect between "corporate" and the community is disheartening. Even so, we will continue the work to build relationships, be visible and to listen carefully to those around us. Thank you for your feedback.

Pros

How can you not be inspired by a mission in which you are "Transforming the Aging Experience." Progressive and growing organization. Lots of great professionals. Top 150 Workplace and a Blue Zones Work Site.

Cons

Iowa's growing aging population means WesleyLife is always striving to find more caring and compassionate team members to serve older adults living at WesleyLife's communities and in their homes. Everyone has a passion for what we do, we just need more hands to do it.
