Company rolled out many new initiatives- Unifocus, Sertifi, Go Green, RISE, Peroxide Time Saver, a few others that I can't remember, this on top of whatever our brands rolled out during the busiest times of the year. (Summer Months). I know the corporate office thinks we are all superhumans as they made sure they hired the best of the best ( CTI, Devine, 6 hour interiew with a Dr, ) but give us a break. Obviously the ones rolling out these initiatives forgot how it was to work in the fields and/or were crapped on when they were in Ops so now that they have the power, they are making sure that this vicious cycle is not broken. I like this company as it has provided many monetary opportunities and recognition to me but I am feeling burnt out as is the case of many other associates/managers in this company.

I knew something was off when one of the big topics at GM conference was diversity, but their idea of diversity and their focus was Women in the Workplace. Women in the workplace is a diversity topic of the 1970s, It shows how far behind they are in this topic by the league of white males who run the organization. The company sold the management rights of 83 properties in January 2018. On October 9th, 2017, all GMs received a communication from Bruce White that he was approached and turned down a deal, because he "valued" us and looked forward to the future. We were called onto a conf call at short notice to be read a script by Dave Montrose telling us of our future and that no transfers or movement could happen until 6 months after the sale. Oddly enough, they were able to move their "golden" boys to the properties they would be keeping just days before this conference call announcing the sale. They also sent several emails out within days after the conference call announcing several different promotions through the company... disgusting! Almost as if they were celebrating the sale while 3,000 of its employees were worried about their jobs. They did not communicate effectively before the sale and at midnight of the sale, they literally disconnected every program we used to run our business and then refused to answer phone calls or emails that we sent with concerns for our hotels. Some hotels are even receiving disconnect notices from utility companies because WLS didn't handle their part. As mentioned before, bonus exceptions were denied for an entire region. The same region performed worse in 2016 due to market conditions and all of the bonus exceptions were approved. In 2017, there was improvement in performance but the bonus exceptions were denied. The inconsistency in this would only lead a person to believe that they placed money before the team because they knew that the team would not be their problem once the denials were announced.
