Pros

The stability at WT is really great. Even during a pandemic or any strange economic downturn they will make it a point to not fire you and retain your employees. That being said, I saw a lot of turnover during my time there. Great learning experience, opportunity for slow growth, unless you're a favorite. I was actually treated pretty well compared to some of my peers.

Cons

You need to work extremely long hours to become a favorite or for them to recognize you as a stellar employee. There is not much work-life balance especially working for their big name clients. Sometimes depending on the project they will send you far from your home even though they will compensate you for gas. Depending on who your manager is, you'll see them having a much more flexible schedule and when you ask for the same understanding/flexibility they will want you at the office no matter what even if they themselves are not at the office. The pay is good but not good enough to work 40+ hours.

Pros

I don't have anything positive to say about this company

Cons

DTLA office was the worst place. Whiting Turner does not have a good culture and they don't their employees with respect. My manager treated me very bad and it affected my productivity. I was always stressed out and miserable . I quit after less than a year during COVID.

Pros

Great health and retirement benefits Stable company Plenty of Opportunity Well Known Brand with Plenty of Repeat Customers

Cons

Base pay is low - does not justify the hours you have to put in unless you can survive long enough to realize long term benefits. Poor workplace morale. Little training for young PMs and field staff As a result of low base pay/poor hiring (my opinion) - quality of staff around me was weak compared to competition You are expected to wear all hats and do whatever it takes for projects to succeed. Precon - business development - HR - project management- accounting - and playing superintendent when field staff is failing. High turnover
