      Pros

      Great starting salary, great team to work with, the CEO takes the time to meet every single employee, when you ask for help you get help, everyday is different which makes time fly.

      Cons

      As a low level employee I usually work 12+ hours and nights, trying to stay in shape gets tough when traveling, you learn how to do your job trial by fire, expect to travel 500+ miles at some point in your career.

      Pros

      WT does not have divisions (i.e.: precon, business development, accounting, closeout,etc.) so a Whiting-Turner PM runs the whole show. If you like that control and have a entrepreneurial spirit you'll thrive. You'll learn a lot and become an extremely well-rounded manager if you can work within the demanding environment.

      Cons

      It's sink or swim. The work load can be atrocious at times because you're responsible for all aspects of the project. Try forecasting as you are submitting owner/subs payments, fighting change orders and bidding new work. You'll alway have a bit more than you can handle, so learning to prioritize is a crucial skill.

      Pros

      Texas has great upper management, a retirement plan second to none and great opportunity to advance from within but will take years before that happens.

      Cons

      Salary's have not been adjusted correctly over the years and you are taking on top responsibility for the bottom of the pay scale.
