No Training Provided

Pros

- Some coworkers were very nice - A lot more females which was very nice to see - Great mock bidding project for interns ( when you are not part of an actual project)

Cons

There was no training provided as to what exactly they want from each intern... they basically just tell you what they want and you have to figure it out. If this is your second internship is good but I wouldn't recommend as a first.

Tulsa, OK Office Joke

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Benefits when you travel, otherwise pay is low.

Cons

2 VPs act like a Tulsa office is at the top of their priority list knowing it’s not. Basically leading people on 1 by 1 until they quit. Had a team of about 50 willing to put in the time to create the office. That dwindled to basically nothing now. Company viewed from the Oklahoma area as none caring towards employees. I believe at this time if they can make people quit it’s better for them, especially with the work they’re losing. Avoid the company if possible as you’ll be relocated time after time with no choice. The ceo of the company will leave messages all happy but in the end there’s way too many employees and in reality he doesn’t care whatsoever.

You Wear Many Hats

Recommend
CEO approval
Business Outlook

Pros

Project team members can be enjoyable. Great health insurance package. Pension (if you plan on staying that long)

Cons

Pay below industry standard. 50 hr+ average work week. Expect to wear many hats and not receive recognition for your effort. The company is not decomparmentalized; therefore, you will do all the estimating, accounting, and management. Promotions are based on tenure, not merit or talent. Don’t expect a raise or bonus based on individual merit. Annual raises are based on inflation. Stingy company in providing employees with company gear or office equipment. Job sites run too lean for the project size. Your project can either be really well staffed or you’re drowning in work. Paperwork system is inefficient and redundant.
