Exciting high-impact work

Pros

The company has nailed product market fit. It’s rare to see this kind of momentum and customer pull. The work feels meaningful because what you build actually gets used and makes a difference. You’ll work with some of the smartest, kindest, most driven people out there. There’s a strong sense of ownership across the board, and people really care about doing great work. If you’re proactive and like to move fast, it’s an incredibly energizing place to be. There’s very little unnecessary process, so it’s easy to focus on getting things done.

Cons

Not a great fit if you need a lot of hand-holding. The bar is high, and you’re trusted to deliver, and if you can’t, it’ll show. Things move quickly, and the company isn’t built for coasting.

Pros

- Great benefits and competitive pay - Fun company trips every 6 months

Cons

After a couple of months it was clear the team lacked solid leadership and direction on projects. I hope by now there is more clear expectation setting on work output and better internal training on the products. If you were in with the core group then you were safe. If you weren't, well good luck to you. CEO wants so desperately to be a cool tech bro CEO and talks out of both sides of his mouth. Little to no transparency in messaging around company direction, layoffs, etc.

Steer Clear

Pros

Remote first company, so you can work basically anywhere.

Cons

There are numerous red flags here, but the most egregious is the total absence of genuine transparency. They pretend to be open but deliberately avoid sharing any meaningful financial information. The toxic expectation that your job should consume your entire life is rampant, and anyone resisting this is swiftly labeled as “not a team player.” The CEO acts unilaterally, randomly demanding product changes without any input from executives—since there are none—and no head of product to provide coherent direction. The product roadmap itself is little more than a wishlist from a couple of dominant customers. Honestly, steer clear of this startup if you value your sanity and professional integrity.
