Pros

There are some very nice and smart people; they are what makes World Book special. Great location. Decent work-life balance. No dress code.

Cons

High turnover rate in the last five years. The pay is below industry standard. Minimum benefits. No raises. There is not much room for advancement.

A nice quiet place with a very limited budget

Pros

The people you work with have the very best intentions about putting out a high-quality and informative product. A low-stress way to get into the world of publishing while still learning about the process and deadlines and stuff like that. Most people are happy to help with questions are issues, but many keep to themselves.

Cons

There is not much room for advancement, and your salary barely keeps up with inflation. The office is almost oppressively quiet. Most people there are unhappy. If within three years you aren't promoted, start looking elsewhere.
