Change in leadership a change for the worse

Pros

It's nice to be improving products for schools and there is a reasonable opportunity for work-life balance. Previous leadership provided some good products to sell. There is sometimes an opportunity to advance but this is sometimes because of turnover.

Cons

Very little in the way of benefits. With the management that came in in 2010 the company valued only the bottom line and layoffs became a way of life.

Downward Spiral

Pros

Great old company with lots of history. Cool co-workers who excel at their jobs. Making a product that legitimately makes peoples lives better.

Cons

VERY poor compensation compared to market rates. Huge exodus of talent over the course of the last few years. Company is having a very hard time adapting to market changes. Management does not seem willing to invest in either it's employees or new products, instead cutting spending to achieve profit. Limited opportunity for advancement
