Pros

Medical Benefits, and onsite med team, work parties the googles and amazons wish they were cool enough to do, coaching over yelling is not optional. Departments are always doing something goofy and fun. Work hours are 99% of the time consistent and what you expect. the co workers are usually the best part of the job. I never worked at a place where I met more genuine Co workers. You have the few bad ones but they are only there because of the few bad managers who choose friendship over the needs of the team, that is very few and far between though. Majority of the warehouse management will talk to you like your family and dont act like bosses. Always asking how they can help you. Other then how crazy hot it can get i loved the people I was surrounded by. Upper management just ruined it for me is all. They are out of touch with their staff now days due to growth. Some of them its clear it doesnt matter, others are just so busy keeping up with growth they dont fully see the other side anymore and its understandable to an extent. If that doesnt bother you though you will be incredibly happy there.

Cons

Office workers treated well regardless of what they do. Logistics warehouse workers always end up responsible for carrying out poorly planned decisions from said office. The company is loosing its core values from the top spiraling downwards because of its growth decisions regardless of impact on its employees. I see more and more long term employees leaving because new budgeting and executive goals dont align with the idea of proper raises or moving up in position. Long term Employees seem to make about as much as the new ones some how. The words lateral move are thrown at hard working employees to add responsibility, expectations, and work load without actually paying them more for any of it. WWT leadership is loosing its rigor and discipline around truly making sure their employees are taken care of because right now company growth goals are #1, reputation is #2. Its the same story as so many other companies that grow too big to maintain what it was founded on and it sucked leaving a place I used to cherish as much as my own home.

Thank you for the time you took to put your thoughts together. Growth and change are essential for any organization to continue to be successful long-term. What cannot be compromised with this is our culture and values. We recognize we need to continue to work hard to protect our culture; especially during times of accelerated growth. We are sorry you left but wish you great success in the future. Thanks again.

Pros

Once you get hired on, the health benefits are amazing. Great coverage.

Cons

Low end, stagnant pay for hourly employees. Bare minimum "raises" that are on par with most burger joints, gas stations, and the like. Management repeats the same comments on OpenDoor complaints and issues which raises the question of if they're even reading those comments. Terribly low amounts of PTO to use, especially with the pandemic and the response to struggling workers and their families is an insultingly low hourly wage increase of one whole dollar. There's honestly so many cons to working in the warehouse and being an hourly employee. No clue what waits at a salaried position, but at least you'll be making an average of $20000 more per year than the highest paid hourly employee can hope to get.

Thanks for acknowledging our benefits. We understand the interest in wanting to be paid more. Positions are paid based on the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are required in the specific role. We also take into account market pay data to ensure we are paying competitively. If you are interested in advancing with the company and potentially earning more, we hope you will reach out to a recruiter or HR to discuss career options. Otherwise we wish you the best of luck in all your pursuits. Thank you again.

Pros

The people on the floor - they are the heart and soul of WWT. We are given the option for company healthcare, which is 25 bucks a month (as long as we meet our company goals). They encourage people to stay at WWT - Matching 401K, increased PTO at certain year-based milestones, and opportunities for further education through colleges (though I'm not sure what full-time employees can really take advantage of the classes).

Cons

There is little room to move up in the company, and even the individuals who have been elected for their management roles are not always the best for the job. This company preaches honesty, integrety, and falls flat when delivering any of these "core values" to their employees. They are not providing a livable wage, and as a result we are short staffed and encouraging our already tired "essential" workers who have been working non-stop during the pandemic to work overtime and weekends in order to hit production goals. We charge the customers at least $35 an hour for employee labor, but our technicians only ever see $15-20 of that. WWT has the customer in mind to a fault and will push their employees to deliver. There is little to no training - you are expected to learn on the job and through documentation (which is never up-to-date). There are no consequences for job performance, which is disheartening to see employees going above and beyond to pick up the slack of others who can't be bothered to learn their role. I work in L4, and with the amount of miscommunication/overall disfunction of the lab alone it is wonder how we are still in business. We are not staffed for the production we have, we are not trained for the production we have, and we are being put on overtime in order to handle it. It is a very frustrating job and as a lead I wanted nothing more than to help my team get organized and succeed as people, but with everyone chasing their tails and barking orders, it's impossible to help anyone grow here.

Thank you for this thoughtful feedback. Please check the employee handbook or contact HR for questions about continuing education and training; both are great programs in providing individual improvement and development. WWT utilizes several external compensation resources to ensure we are paying a competitive wage for all work that is performed. We understand that every individual has different needs. There are currently over 400 positions available. If you are open to exploring other roles that may pay a higher compensation, please reach out to a member of the talent acquisition team or check the positions that are available online. If you have other suggestions or would like to participate in helping with improvements, we would appreciate hearing more. Thanks again.
