Pros

Getting to work in an airport setting and being around other airline employees. Flexible with schedule as long as you are staffed. Always busy which means time goes by very quickly. Room for growth

Cons

Paycheck would either not come on time, or paycheck would be less than what it was supposed to be. Abuse by regional manager. Verbal abuse by employees and lack of respect for management. THEY HIRE ANYONE AND ANYTHING. Never staffed accordingly. Must stay until your designated plane leaves. You could be at work longer than the time you were supposed to be there by about 7 hours max. Disgusting break room. Horrible benefits package (NO FLIGHT BENEFITS) Getting paid bare minimum for what one has to go through each day. 6 MONTH PROBATION PERIOD so God forbid you get sick or have a family emergency. Everyday constant reminders that YOU are replaceable.

Pros

Being contracted to American Airlines in Texas.

Cons

EVERYTHING. They don't pay overtime as required - have to go through the Bureau of Labor to file complaints. They ignore federal salary laws - claiming people as salaried employees to prevent paying overtime when the wages don't meet minimum salaried employee rates. They don't pay for health insurance so employees pay full cost - at the minimal wages they give this means over half a paycheck goes to covering one individual; the entire paycheck for an individual with one child. They don't monitor the third party vendor covering their health insurance - benefits not started or stopped on time, payroll deductions messed up, and notifications of eligibility not sent. General managers assigned multiple contracts on different sides of the airport so they don't pay attention to any of the harassment complaints about supervisors, hours for the contract aren't properly covered, payroll complaints, or insurance complaints. Worst communication ever! The supervisors will post a schedule, change it, and not inform employees of the changes or post an updated schedule, then attempt to reprimand employees for not working as scheduled - including firing employees unjustly.

Pros

Some of the people that work there are great. The job could be a lot of fun. The pay was decent for the area. Great work out!

Cons

Management Is lacking leadership skills. It starts with the regional and rolls down. They just pick friends and do a lot of bad stuff. You can not advance and you should not want to work for that type of Management. They have zero integrity, accountability, or work ethic. They allow people to be harassed and they promote that environment. We had very good people come through and they were all let go or quit because they could not or would not join their group. Stay away it is way to much drama, started from the Management.
