Pros

- The pay can be good - Good people management within the showroom - Great team within showroom

Cons

- Working every single weekend and bank holiday - Long hours which cut into any form of social life - Rotten business culture from head office, they want you to always know they have control over you, your pay and job stability - Designers are seen as scapegoats for 'errors' and made to pay out of commission. Free issue system takes large chunks of pay from designer commission - High commission threshold, which goes up with minimum wage increase so you see no real pay rise. - Constant fear within job security - A week's training in head office where you do not actually learn much about the role. You hear stories of how they monitor your hotel rooms - an utterly demoralising week to welcome you to the business. - Head office are ruthless, they say people buy from people. Wren need to understand that people buy from companies who treat their employees with dignity - Zero benefits for maternity/paternity many female employees in the showroom saving to have children as Wren have zero benefits - Cameras in the showroom monitoring your every move - Micro management to the max as the company is not performing as well during the cost of living crisis - Overworked staff at head office you can sense when communicating with them

Thanks for sharing your detailed feedback! We really appreciate your positive comments about the good pay, people management in the showroom, and the great team dynamics you experienced. However, we’re really concerned about the issues you’ve raised regarding work-life balance, company culture, management practices, and job security. We take these seriously and are sorry that this has been your experience. Your thoughts on high commission thresholds, handling errors, training, lack of benefits, and micromanagement are noted. We want to create a supportive and fair workplace, and your feedback will help us tackle these concerns. If you’d like to chat more about your experiences or share additional details, please reach out at LetsTalk@WrenKitchens.com. Pros

Good pay Owner and his sons are very nice people

Cons

Always felt threatened with losing your job. Very long working hours, can not claim time back. Lie to customers - forget any promotions, give the customer any price you want! - "Take them out of the market". Tell customers they can't have a refund for 28 days, when it can be done on the spot. The reason for this is it affects managers bonuses. Tell customers to sign the sign-off sheet when the kitchen hasn't been fully installed or else they cannot deal with any issues. Wrong. The fitters don't get paid if the sheet is not signed. If you worked for Phones-4-U, you've got a job! No kitchen experience required! Get rid of the ex Phones-4-U people and have kitchen experts back in the business like when the Company first started. Even the MD left - he was all about customer service. Employed 200 extra staff at head office to deal with customer service issues. Don't pay fitters on time. Daily conference calls/micro-managing High staff turnover
