Pros

Great benefits, low pay for the tech sales industry. You don't have to pay each month for an insurance plan, however you'll get a low salary and VERY low commission rate of 4% of your sales (average sale is $4,800 and you make at the very most 2 / month). In my 3 years at Yardi I've made under 5k in commissions and I'm one of their top closers.

Cons

Low pay, difficult to progress your career.

We appreciate you taking the time to share about your experience in our Salt Lake City location. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoy our comprehensive benefits (that include 100% employer paid premiums)! At Yardi we value our employees and one way of showing this is though our market competitive salaries and commissions. We are fortunate to have incredible Sales professionals, many of whom stay with Yardi long term as they advance in their careers, and we often see healthy salary increases as employees grow in their roles. We encourage employees to connect with their managers to discuss opportunities for training and development, career goals, and paths for advancement. When it comes to Sales territories, we know the value that comes with stability and strong business relationships, and careful consideration is put into any territory shifts that occur so we can continue to best meet business and customer needs. Our leaders know the importance of supporting their teams though any changes so our employees can continue to be confident and fully equipped in their roles. We genuinely encourage anyone with concerns to connect with leadership or with Human Resources to discuss.

Pros

Great Benefits. Great Benefits, and Great Benefits.

Cons

I remember a time when people got rewarded for their work and not for competition. Rewarded for knowing how to produce and not picked over for not fitting in with the loudest person on the room.

Pros

Not high paced. Not results oriented. Fully remote. Sales had a decent base pay and there weren’t sales quotas.

Cons

Very siloed and vertically integrated. You may work with a ton of different employees, but you report to one and their opinion is everything. If you have incredible sales numbers, but the person above you sees you as a threat to their job, they have the power and means to have you fired. The smartest thing to do is just show up on time, do mediocre work so the person above you can remain mediocre, and you can work there for 50 years. Most of the employees are nice. Lower than industry standard sales commissions, but on the flip side you don’t have sales quotas. Limited vacation time.

Though many of your experiences are vastly different from what we hear from our talented sales executives worldwide, we take concerns like this seriously and value your feedback. We care deeply about employee happiness which we show by providing a robust benefits package that includes paying 100% of employee medical premiums, competitive salaries, and paid time off based on industry standards. When it comes to growth and career path options, we know that providing opportunities for training and learning are critical for employee happiness and success, and we strongly encourage employees to connect with their managers to discuss their goals and opportunities for advancement. While we are sorry you weren’t a happier employee, we wish you all the best going forward.
