Pros

Great CEO, free health insurance, profit sharing, PTO, sick leave

Cons

I am on the Affordable team. Awards are given out monthly to members that hit specific metrics. These metrics aren’t remotely attainable. Those who do meet the metrics are working long hours and lots of overtime. They deserve the recognition… but so do those that put in normal 8 hour work days. It feels like I am working my butt off but it’s not being seen by management. This company is very bottom heavy. Management and team leads are spread thin and not providing the support and guidance that team members deserve.

Thank you for taking the time to share about your experiences as a Technical Account Manager in our Atlanta location. We are thrilled to hear that you are enjoying many of the things we believe make Yardi so special, such as our encouraging and supportive leadership, our comprehensive benefits, and the overall kind and inclusive culture Yardi fosters! As part of our annual planning, we carefully review the sales goals for all our teams; and clear and achievable goals are set based on an analysis of market conditions. At Yardi, our managers and leaders dedicate time to mentoring and coaching employees, providing quality training and subject matter expertise to their teams, and leading by example through strong work ethic. While we know the importance of metrics, we feel strongly about recognizing employees who show kindness and inclusiveness, and those who go above and beyond to help others. There are a variety of recognitions that takes place across the Affordable team that go beyond metrics, such as individual awards for those who have received a kudo or have finished a special project, weekly peer-to-peer awards, and monthly RCAH all-star awards (that are also peer to peer). We encourage employees to regularly connect with their managers and to let leadership know when additional support or guidance is needed with prioritizing and navigating deliverables, and the door to Human Resources is always open to discuss concerns or suggestions for improvements.

Pros

-I learned invaluable knowledge ranging from accounting, such as what is a balance sheet, income statement, and general ledger to programming, like how to run queries using SQL.

Cons

-I was hired during the pandemic as the shelter in place went into effect and had to learn the job through microsoft teams. I did not have any formal training or experience in accounting and found the role overwhelming by inadequate support and having to learn accounting as I was servicing clients

We appreciate hearing about your experience as an Associate Technical Account Manager at our Atlanta location. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed learning the fundamentals of accounting though your training. Our trainings moved to an interactive online instructor led format during the pandemic and we have since transitioned to a hybrid work model that allows us to learn, train, and collaborate in person and remotely as well. At Yardi, our trainers strive to provide quality training material and are available to assist employees with questions and provide ongoing support regardless of whether employees are in-person or WFH. We encourage anyone who would like additional support to connect with their manager to futher discuss. We wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Nearly every person I worked with at Yardi was wonderful. Everyone is willing to lend a hand, and it truly is a great place to work. I had so much independence and flexibility (though that may depend on who your manager is). The benefits are great (healthcare and dental are $0 for a single person, slightly more for families). Overall, a nice place to work with colleagues and higher ups who genuinely care.

Cons

Average pay, raises/promotions can take a while. Still, the pay is completely fine. Just not necessarily competitive.

Thank you for the wonderful review! We are so glad to hear that you had such a positive experience at our Santa Barbara location. We care deeply about our employees and are glad to hear that you enjoyed our culture, the supportive leadership, your friendly and kind colleagues, and our comprehensive benefits. We strive to remain an employer of choice with competitive pay practices and a strong benefit package but understand that costs continue to rise and appreciate the challenges. We wish you all the best in your future!
