Pros

Good clinical staff at the site where I work. Scheduling is flexible--I work a 4-day week (10-hour days).

Cons

Communication from corporate could be MUCH better. We are often praised for our efficiency, but this does not seem to get us anything beyond the standard yearly increase in compensation.

I’m glad you’re enjoying the team you work with. As it pertains to your pay response… It would be helpful if I could get a bit more context around your personal experience. If you’d like, please send us some contact info and we can follow up, personally. If you’d prefer to remain anonymous, that’s understandable too. Our nursing rates are based on years of experience and differ from contract to contract, based on cost of living and market assessments of what nearby medical facilities are paying. Some of our really remote locations warrant a step up from some neighboring facilities as we have to make it attractive for nurses to travel the extra distance from home. The only other variance would be for those nurses in PRN status. They are paid a premium as they have no guarantee of hours. Hopefully this helps. If you’d like more info, please contact us at CorizonCareers@CorizonHealth.com Sincerely, Courtney Penning, Director of Talent Acquisition

Pros

Large company, opportunity for advancement.

Cons

The company was going through alot of transistion and growth. Very stressful towards the end of my career at CMS/Corizon Health, lots of people being let go and a very cut throat environment not my style.

The amount of transition and change the company has undergone the last four years is certainly not without growing pains. A corporate decision was made to eliminate duplication of departments in both Healthcare Support Team offices, resulting in a reduction in force, at both locations, for certain areas. Now, mostly through the hurdles associated with a merge, things are calming down and we are getting back to the basics. Change is tough on people, but it’s a necessary part of doing business. As a long term employee, I am happy to have co-workers that I can call friends. I’m sorry your experience wasn’t more positive. Sincerely, Courtney Penning, Director of Talent Acquisition
