      Pros

      This is a really nice place to work. Ihave worked in many different aspects of the nursing field and this by far is my favorite. If you can get past the fact that you are taking care of criminals in a jail, these are some of the reasons I like it here: No micromanagement Full support from management Safe environment Very laid back Feels like working with your family Everybody seems nice Doctors are onsite to give orders

      You are locked in the facility Can't bring your cellphone to work Everyone is not fully knoweledgeable

      They are trying for accredidation so a lot of stress in these sites

      Pros

      -paid well; get paid to attend a one hour monthly team meeting (helpful to promote communication)

      Cons

      -lots of staff turnover due to harshness of upper level management; dysfunction due to newness in many sites where they were awarded contracts but the middle management is not knowledgable or experienced; every week, a multitude of new policies and procedures to the point, at the start of each shift, you must check that you read all the changes of the day; some changes good, some are ridiculous....management cannot even do what they ask of staff.
