Pros

They have managed time off and remote work is allowed on occasions. They are investing in IT technology (software) to increase efficiency for operations and engineering, which is good for learning newer/better ways of doing something. They are trying to bring the company to the 21st century, but it might be too late for the Florida operations.

Cons

The seems to be a cloud of secrecy around the company, especially in Florida, since the spin off from Zimmer Biomet. No one really knows what the future holds. It's a ship that seems lost at sea but who ever is at the steering wheel knows where it's going. Also, there is a sister facility in Spain that seems to have a significant difference in operating costs which has caused a competition to retain products. There has been a large headcount reduction in 2024 across all roles, engineering, etc. Also, with the continuous changes it can be hard to make improvements. The QMS is a spider web of documents which means even the smallest change is significant endeavor to implement. The non-machining workforce can be around 50 percent temporary employees who typically have no manufacturing background, can't read blueprints etc. This can be a headache on the quality side but there has been improvements to fix on board training but they typically let the people go by the time they become reliable. It's a cat and mouse game with finance.
