      Everything else. Horrible culture, inept leadership (in fact calling it leadership is a stretch), and lie after lie from senior managers on down. It is by pure luck and lies that this company stays in business. it is held together with duck tape and regret and they just churn and burn through employees. A large chunk of the people who stay longer than a year are either incompetent and love to be verbally abused or people too lazy to find a new job or people who live in the South-end and don't want to commute.

      The recruiter for this job told me there would be no cold calling and that it would be selling into established relationships with companies. False, it is 8 hours of cold calling companies Zones hasn't been successful with since 2007... I was offered a higher salary; then when the job offer letter came, it was way lower.. and they denied my counter offer. This is the most unprofessional office I have ever been in. Upper management pick favorites and only help them. The only good thing offered by this company/distraction from looking at a computer screen for 8 hours straight was free food, and that was taken away because it was distracting to us... The pay is terrible and I cannot wait to be apart of the 90% turnover rate.

      Pros

      Hours 6-3,7-4, 8-5 M-F is very nice, People you work with are really the only pluses.

      Cons

      Lack of Direction, pay, excitement. It is a very ho hum kind of place to work. Pay is awful. You cant ever work from home. SMB sales is an absolute joke with no direction and insanely high and unrealistic goals. Middle Management does what they can with the tools the company has provided.

Your comments about the lack of direction in sales are interesting, in that most sales team member feedback actually shows that our account executives feel closely-managed due to our routine, call cadence and metrics.
