Pros

Honestly, not a single thing.

Cons

I worked there from 2005-2006. During my time, I uncovered the fact that they were withholding spiffs from their AE's, even though the money was paid to Zones from vendors. They mandated that AE's had to sell items at a certain price to get the spiff, which is pretty much illegal. I tried to run this up the flagpole, and it appears that this was nothing alarming, and I even had a high up executive admit that in fact they were paid the spiff money regardless of whether we sold it at 0% or 20% margin. They were stealing from their AE's basically. Not sure if this is still happening, but I'm glad I'm no longer a part of the company.

Pros

-Some of the best friends I've made post college came from Zones. -Free food -Free happy hours -Sales managers that care about your overall well being and career aside from zones

Cons

-The place is basically a frat house -You will not make any commission even if you are 300% to goal, I know because I was -Absolutely no HR policy, you will get away with anything here -Unorganized -Unrealistic expectations -Zones cost for goods is way higher than all of your competitors, so if a deal comes down to price you CANNOT win... And if you work in Gov sales everything is price (ps Zones isn't on state or fed contracts so no one can "legally" purchase from you. -Zones is all about Quantity and not about Quality -High turnover rate, because your liver can't take the disappointment of working here.
