Pros

Free breakfast but thats about it

Cons

Zones is one of the most backwards sales companies I have ever seen. Their commission is awful, they have tons of traps set up to ensure you don't make hardly any money but they sure do, spiffs are joke at this company other places I have worked pay the sales guys all their spiffs not here. The pay is extremely low they have goal metrics like any sales company but they are based off of nothing at all other than what it will take to make management rich and not you. Most places I have worked say if you are in this region you should produce this much not at zones.... You could be working Juno Alaska and your goals are just as much as the guy working San Francisco. I only spent about a year and half at zones and now I am gone and I am better for it..... I know it is hard job market out there but if you want any kind of career skip zones and look elsewhere.

Pros

Co-workers are cool.. well most of them

Cons

Where do I start... First they will tell you that you can make $100k/yr when in reality you will make $35k if you are lucky... now thats your base. SPIFFS they will keep from you unless you can close at 12pts in margin..which you wont because you wont win the business from the hundreds of competitiors that are going out at 1 point margin. Then you wont get commissions because you went out at cost so you can get numbers on the board so management would stop brow beating you for 5 minutes. After months of cold calling burned out leads that hate zones or dont have working phone numbers anymore you MIGHT get rewarded with a coloring book and crayons. TRUE STORY. This goes along with the structured break times and juice boxes you get on Wednesday and Fridays. If you are inept at anything else.. and dont mind dialing for crayons and being fired when you cant sell -then apply at zones.

Pros

Consistent Hours, Free Stuff, and good way to collect money while looking for other opportunities.

Cons

Turn and burn telemarketing. They have a poor commission structure and in general a very unprofessional work environment. This job made me very depressed.
