Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s encouraging to hear that you’ve found strong opportunities to take on new initiatives and work alongside a smart, hardworking team. That kind of environment can be incredibly valuable for growth and skill development. At the same time, we understand that when products or teams operate in silos, it can make collaboration more challenging and limit the impact of cross-functional efforts. We appreciate you taking the time to provide feedback.

Pros

There use to be more Pros working here but all have been erased. Only good Pro is there are still a lot of good people, hardworking, and dependable.

Cons

Top down is probably the worst I have ever for, they say one thing and execute a whole different plan. Over my time I've seen layoffs that cripple teams due to short staffing and high ups still expect everyone to sail a sinking ship. With Zoom hiring being frequent enough Zoom's culture becomes lifeless, new managers bring toxic culture's from their previous companies that bully and destroy the established teams. There is no training or guidance whatsoever, only yelling and blame. Worst of it all is that toxic managers will berate you for your failure and display it for the entire team. Question, How does one work when your managers states that "your job can be done Overseas and you are replaceable"? Who says that to their employees? DTO does! Training are always self taught, promotions are treated like a gold tickets, and hard-work is unappreciated. The new "Restructure" of roles and job titles is a strategy to remove unlimited PTO completely. If you want to have limited PTO you must be a tier 3 but how can you get to tier 3 if you can get promoted? Any time you talk about promotions or compensation bumps managers avoid that question like the plaque so stopped asking or might be labeled the "disgruntled". There is no healthy environment at Zoom anymore, burnouts are more frequent, mental health is bad, and overall trust in leadership is lackluster
