Pros

Smart, helpful & dedicated people. Total compensation is above the market rate. CEO does cares about employees. Good products.

Cons

Subpar leadership from exec team. No clear strategy when facing competitions. Chaotic decision making. Long work hours (this is improving, though).

Pros

I unfortunately did not experience any pros.

Cons

Zoom is growing through serious growing pains. They have a great, but very serious problem on their hands ever since March 2020. Between 9 rounds of interviews (with lots of miscommunication involved), to my managers and counterpart all quitting in my first 9 weeks, to a severe lack of process and transparency, to adopting two jobs I was not hired for, Zoom was not what I was looking/hoping for. I have no doubt that there are areas of the company that are amazing to be a part of, but there are also lots of areas that need attention and improvement. The culture of 24/7 chat and 6-7 days of work is not sustainable and I believe the company needs to address this ASAP.

Pros

Great benefits, great product that is keeping the world going right now

Cons

I'm sure this place used to be great, but perhaps due to the sheer speed at which they had to grow - it is chaotic. Inexperienced managers - scattered and executing without proper strategy. Anxiety and stress are written all over faces. Finger pointing, no accountability. Burnout due to pressure to be "on" around the clock. Lack of overall team feeling as a company. It's really unfortunate.
