Pros

Zoom gives flexibility and that helps with balance and free snacks, etc. Learned something about the industry.

Cons

Big turnover, vibe like a college campus, layoffs when stock prices went down, people in charge without the experience needed for those positions, okay for initial experience, not a career path.

Pros

Company offers remote work, at least for now. Offers RSUs and Good work life balance depending on the team. Nice to work for a company that has a household name.

Cons

The biggest draw for Zoom over the years was the great culture, hence why it was Glassdoors top companies to work for, however, the culture is terrible now (1 Star), which is why you don't see it as a top company on glassdoor or anywhere anymore. Leadership doesen't care about culture, they offer cheap pins, and discounts to the store which used to be free for everyone. No real perks to brag about, they claim to have $7 billion in cash but offer no real perks that they used to. The company is not organized and no real strategy or process. It's always get this done by a certain deadline. No 401k Match. The stock is tied to your total comp which has decreased tremendously over the years. A lot of people lost hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions because leadership team is uninspiring and lack competence. There is no CMO or Marketing org! All marketing has to be approved by the CEO but he lacks a vision, hence why common people still don't know that you can use Zoom to chat with each other. AI is not going to save Zoom! It's actually costing Zoom more to run AI, but we keep incorporating simple AI features that cost and fire employees because of it. Zoom stock has suffered even if it did have AI in it bc investors don't care. The company All Hands is a snooze fest, it used to be energizing but all they talk about is AI, people can read between the lines that the All hands is more of a sales pitch to investors rather than a time to inspire employees. Zoom is ignoring it's bread and butter which is Communications weather it be Video, Chat, Audio etc.. we rely on the pandemic boom and haven't made much traction yet.

We understand your perspectives about the changes in company culture, lack of career growth, leadership decisions, and the impact of stock performance on total compensation. Your insights regarding the absence of a marketing organization and the focus on AI, along with the need for more transparency, are particularly valuable as we reflect on ways to improve. Pros

Remote /hybrid work for most employees with decent benefits package.

Cons

Zoom used to be a great place to work but the atmosphere and culture has declined greatly in the past 24 months. Too many underlying motives that turn employees off.
