Pros

None that I can think of

Cons

Maybe this company was good at some point, but no longer. The culture is a joke, koolaid at best. They claim to care about the employees but do not demonstrate it in anyway. Lots of talk, no walk. Upper management might as well be non-existent, with no vision and hoping multiple UCaaS products magically align. They are completely disconnected from the current state of the company and act like it’s still a ten person start up. The CEO calls meetings to yell and vent at employees about having a sense of ownership, and then simultaneously bypasses them disrupting multiple months of planning and schedule, causing complete chaos. No annual refreshes, and if the stock does well, they’ve made it clear you will be punished during your review because “the stock you had to pull teeth to get initially is doing well.” Recommend: look elsewhere. Many other companies offer similar (or better) perks without the non-sense.

Dishonest, shady practices

Pros

Zoom used to be a transparent, positive place to work before we brought in Cisco & RingCentral leadership.

Cons

The company will change your compensation plan mid quarter. Ryan and Kelley hosted an insulting Q&A session about the changes today. They admitted that they were willing to sacrifice the trust and good will of the sales organization to keep the margins & stock price high for Wall Street.

Pros

Teammates are friendly and actively trying to make things better. We all want the company to succeed and to enjoy our work.

Cons

Leadership is failing this company. Over the past two years, morale has plummeted, workload has increased, and the company has flatlined. Eric claims to care about quality, yet every initiative we receive boils down to delivering as much work as quickly as possible with barely enough resources to get the work done. We are frustrated, overworked, and increasingly not proud of the products we're shipping, and when we inevitably release bad experiences, leaders point the finger at everyone but themselves. There is a shocking lack of vision and "yes-man" attitude from leadership, resulting in constant shifts in strategy and scope. I feel like I have permanent whiplash. My organization is grossly understaffed and under-resourced. Leaders constantly insert themselves into our process which adds unnecessary bureaucracy to every task. Every product is being micromanaged by leaders who refuse to delegate to skilled employees and trust them to release good products without interference. This stifles innovation and culture. Finally, there is a serious disrespect for employees' time, both personally and professionally. We're expected to be available at all hours of the day, greatly sacrificing work-life balance to deliver "at the speed of Zoom," and when people complain about this we're basically told that it's our responsibility to manage our time and avoid burnout – there's zero effort from leadership to address this culture.
