It's a known company and the product works well

Cons

Can't beat Microsoft and marketing efforts aren't there to educate the world that Zoom does more than video meetings.

Pros

Benefits, work life balance, fun co workers

Cons

Office Politics, average pay, wrong people in the wrong roles, refusing to fill roles internally and continually chose to go with outside hires, some of whom were not qualified. Bad culture; if you aren't good at sucking up to the right people, you'll have no chance. Zoom says they "care", but leadership mostly cares about protecting themselves and promoting their "friends", even if they are not qualified.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. Thank you. We're glad to hear you appreciated the benefits, work-life balance, and the camaraderie with your fellow team members during your time at Zoom. We’re sorry to learn about your perspective regarding office politics, hiring practices, and workplace culture. It's disheartening to hear that you felt leadership was disconnected and that internal promotions were overlooked. These are serious issues to us, and your perspective is invaluable as we strive to create a fair and supportive environment for everyone. Your advice about trusting our workers and reassessing the return-to-office policy is noted. We are committed to continuous improvement and transparency, and feedback like yours is essential in driving meaningful dialogue and consideration. If you’re open to discussing your experience further, please reach out to us at engagement@zoom.us. Your insights can help us better understand and address these challenges. Thank you again for your contributions to Zoom, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
