Pros

Flexibility, and the ability to work from home. Great industry working with schools and kids.

Cons

Leadership and managers hide how the company is really doing. They are now shrinking in size by pushing people out of the company to save their reputation rather than being honest with their employees. Very toxic. You will never really know where you stand in the company because everything must stay positive.

We're sorry to hear that this has been or was your experience. Although we aren't perfect at what we do, we definitely strive to communicate openly and honestly with All Hands meetings, team gatherings, summits, Q&A sessions, surveys, email, chat and so many other means. However, we do acknowledge that it can be difficult to keep up with everything in a fully remote environment and so many initiatives that we've been working on. It can be scary hearing about all the companies laying people off, dealing with inflation, rising costs, and changing markets. In spite of all this, we worked hard to give merit increases last December, and although we have not done a layoff, we have restructured our marketing team. eLuma is focused on what schools, providers and students need to be right now, and we’ll continue to do our best for students and those on our team who make that dream a reality.

Pros

Working from home is a plus. There are some nice people with good intentions and everyone is positive all the time.

Cons

If you are considering a serious career in mental health services or the education field, look elsewhere. This company is not what it appears! I should have known that any Glassdoor profile with this many positive reviews (at the time I started zero reviews from sales people) was suspicious. Everyone at ELuma thinks they have the best jobs and are changing lives when in reality they are spam emailing districts and hoping someone needs a staffing agency to help backfill comp time. I can confirm that there was more turnover on the sales team after I left the company as well. ELuma thinks they are players in the education space but in reality no one has heard of them. Don’t believe the fluff!

Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts. While things didn't work out, we hope that you found a position that is a good fit. There are various roles and skills within the education space, which are needed to solve complex problems facing schools. Our company is committed to providing crucial services to schools and positively impacting students' lives.

Pros

Flexibility and working from home. Passionate people. The mission is there however it is starting to just seem like a staffing agency.

Cons

Been here for a few months now and have not been impressed with the onboarding process. Very little guidance and support. Lots of favoritism.

Your feedback is appreciated, and we welcome hearing from everyone within the company. As we continue to grow and expand, so does the need to have more defined processes. We are committed to focusing on this and making the adjustments that will continue to improve things for everyone.
