Used to be a great place to work

Pros

* There are still a few OGs that have stayed through the bad times holding down the fort that are talented and fun to work with (gave an extra star for these wonderful people) * Good place to get experience with AI you can then apply at a better company * Work-life balance is excellent because no real work ever gets done * There's a pinball machine that works sometimes * It's a place to work in tech in Wilmington if you live there and have low standards / self-respect

Cons

* AI is literally a religion to the ELT. They are obsessed with replacing people with AI, and applying large language models to everything possible, even when it makes no sense to * Layoffs, penny-pinching, slashing benefits, bad incentives, a buffet of hubris, paying for what used to be free drinks * Constantly acquiring useless companies instead of committing to finishing projects * The size of the company since going public has attracted an army of button-up wearing business people that contribute no value yet make it impossible to get anything done * Neverending identity crisis over being built on Salesforce but with no real plan to address it

We're sorry to hear your experience has been different from what we typically hear from our team members. While we recognize nCino may not be the right fit for everyone, we're confident in the direction we're heading as a company. We're building solutions that deliver real value to our customers and position us as leaders in banking innovation. This isn't about replacing people; it's about staying competitive and evolving our platform to meet market needs. The business decisions we've made, including acquisitions and operational adjustments, are focused on long-term growth and sustainability. As a company, we balance priorities across our employees, customers, and shareholders. These decisions are never taken lightly and are made to support continued growth and stability. We wish you the best, whether that's here at nCino or in your next opportunity.

Pros

Decent benefits and they pay your annual deductible via HSA, coworkers were great to work with and if you get on a good team the dynamic is awesome, manager was amazing

Cons

Where do I start... 1. Pay is poor compared to the current market for this position and does not fall within nCino's Glassdoor range. Annual comp was $25k lower than actual market value and the company’s Glassdoor range. Annual raises are so low they feel insulting. It seems like people you don't report to have final say in your performance reviews. As for career growth, you have to either move to a completely new department, be a teacher's pet to someone in upper management, or find another opportunity outside of nCino. 2. Culture is vapid and encourages 'yes men' for higher ups. Culture used to be great and fun to be a part of but has declined rapidly, especially for remote employees. Remote employees do not seem to be considered when changes are made throughout the org. 3. They push back to office like nobody's business and even require employees hired as remote to go into the office if they are within the 30 mile radius of any nCino office. Upper management seems to have disdain for remote employees. 4. Recognition is centered on the main Wilmington office where it seems only those employees tend to win the quarterly and annual awards. It is very rare if someone outside of the Wilmington office gets nominated, let alone wins an award.

Thank you for your review and we are glad you found our benefits and your coworkers as great positives. We also appreciate your suggestions but would like to clarify a few points. 1. Our pay ranges are based on market data of like size, like revenue, like industry organizations that operate in the markets in which we operate. All nCino employees are positioned within those competitive ranges, based on their experience, skills and performance. Annual merit increases are based on an employee's performance against their established goals and can range from 0 to 10%. When some national averages state that annual merit increases can trend around 3 to 3.5%, we feel having the potential to earn up to 10% makes us very competitive and provides strong performers the opportunity to significantly increase their wages. In addition, we have 2 other opportunities during the year for our strong performers to receive base pay adjustments and promotions. We invest in our employees Total Rewards - pay and fully funded health benefits - at a highly competitive rate that attracts exceptional talent to the company. 2. Remote workers have been and continue to be a key part of nCino's talent strategy. In fact, approximately 25% of our colleagues are remote and make incredible contributions to the success of the company. Yes, we do strive to first hire at our brick and mortar locations but recognize that there are times when the best candidate for a role may reside elsewhere. 3. Our quarterly and annual awards have been awarded to individuals across the globe - in office and remote. 4. Finally, regarding our culture. We will let the other posts on this site speak to our culture which so many find unsurpassed. This is not to say that we don't have opportunities to improve and we strive to do so every day. But it's important to ensure the facts shared in these posts are actually facts. We hope you have found a role with another exceptional company where you are happy and wish you all the best in all of your career endeavors!

Pros

It’s not prison, or is it?

Cons

Horrible company. Immoral, liars, unethical, bullies…and have a shotty product. The people in management positions aren’t qualified and a lot of them are terrible people, terrible leaders and flat out bullies. It must be a hiring qualification as the older employees possess these qualities as well as those hired recently. They’ve bought several companies and have ran them into the ground. Sucked every bit of good out of each of them to transform them into their terrible company.

While we always thank employees who take the time to complete a review and provide their positive and constructive feedback - as we gain so many ideas and insights from their contributions - this is not a review that warrants a response. It is clearly not representative of our workforce's feedback nor our customers and is in fact, completely false. We wish you the best of luck in finding a role within a company where you can be happy and productive.
