Pros

There were not many pro's to working at ON. I worked their for two years and was very disappointed with the work environment and my manager.

Cons

Very strange work environment. Most groups keep to themselves and don't talk outside their bubble. Most people don't seem happy in their current position and are always concerned about being laid off. There is a lot of turnover and people are constantly coming and going.

Pros

Few people are top in their fields. Can get to learn a lot from them. Everything else is bad.

Cons

1. Top management doesn't inspire any confidence. They have hired yes men. 2. Pay is sub par. 3. Employee appreciation is virtually absent unless you are a favorite of the top people. Promotions are far and few, stock awards are miniscule (if given at all). They don't know / don't want to take care of employees 3. Bureaucracy in each step, waste of time 4. No clear direction from the top management, no funds for R&D when market slumps only to play a catch up game upon recovery. Lack of vision. 5. Constantly playing catch up with competitors and losing advantage of headstarts

Pros

They pay you to work.

Cons

Disconnect between workers and managers. Layoffs every few months. Poor pay, poor insurance. Toxic managers and leadership. Constantly demanding more output while not creating the conditions to make it possible. Expectation to be flexible while not being flexible themselves. Large bonuses for management (not based on site performance) poor ones for employees (based on site performance). Double, triple and quadruple standards depending on who you are. Retaliation if you speak up about the poor conditions and work environment. Like many companies they say can’t afford to do any better for the employees while boasting about record profits. Posters that speak of teamwork, integrity, leadership and values that the workers are expected to adopt while they themselves exhibit the opposite. Just another company pushing their employees to the absolute maximum, for the absolute least compensation, to maximize their profits to benefit the top tier and leave the rest to worry about whether they’ll be laid off or not every quarter because shareholders and profits are their main priority.
