We enjoyed our time at the annual Laid Back on I55 Truck Show in Perryville Missouri last Friday and Saturday August 23rd and 24th. Great games, food, and company from the community and other trucking companies who participated for a worthy cause: supporting the Downs Syndrome Association. We also met a lot of wonderful people who were as honored to sign our Wreaths Across America trailer as we are to haul it!! Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to sign their name to it! We look forward to another awesome event next year!

We are all sending positive vibes to our very own Sid Naramore, Missouri's First Place winner in the Tank Division for the Truck Driving Championships. Sid is in Pittsburgh this week competing for the Grand Champion Title in his division. 427 drivers are competing at the Championship this year. All drivers must complete a written exam with 40 questions based on the textbook "Facts for Drivers", a pre-trip inspection with 15 present defects, and a driving skills test with 6 obstacles. For the top five finalists of each category, a final driving course on the last day of the events. It's a touch competition of some of the best drivers in the industry. We're cheering for ya, Sid!

Dewey Mullens II, a highly experienced and professional driver with 40 Accident and Violation Free years under his belt, was awarded his February 2019 award Friday, August 9th in Jefferson City Missouri. He has 4.8 Million miles to call his own and is still trucking with Buchheit! We are very proud to call him part of our family! Thank you, Dewey, for all of your dedication to our industry and to Buchheit!
