Great day on Saturday, October 20th for the Annual Buchheit Logistics Truck Driving Rodeo! The rodeo consists of three challenging parts. First, a written test of knowledge of the industry, safety & security, first aid, and fire safety. Second, a hands on pre-trip vehicle inspection. And last but in ways least, a point-value assessed driving skills course of six obstacles. These obstacles are to test drivers under actual every day conditions and circumstances, including judging distances, maneuvering in tight spaces, and positioning the vehicle. This year, we invited local logistics companies to participate with our drivers for the honor of competing for a slot at the state level. We were glad to welcome Capital Sand and Mississippi Lime to the competition! Participating drivers: Buchheit Logistics: Roger Friedrich, Jason Louis, Keith Schwent, Don Thieret Capital Sand: James Ward and Kevin Zimmerman Mississippi Lime: Jason Gouero, Jeff Ragsdale, Larry Smith, Edward Wolf Winners in each category to be announced in posts to come. . .
