Johnsonville has been a family owned company since it was founded in 1945. Family always has been, and always will be, of the utmost importance to us. That’s why we are so honored when multiple members of a family choose Johnsonville as the right place for them. Since joining Johnsonville-Holton more than a decade ago, Vickie Yates has held various positions – most recently as a maintenance clerk. Vickie says one of the biggest things that has kept her with the company for so long is her fellow Members. “If you don’t have those good people, you’re not going to want to come to work,” she said. That’s one of the reasons Vickie was so excited to have others in her family join Johnsonville, as well. In fact, during her time with the company, her mom and two sons have also worked at Johnsonville. Vickie’s older son Christopher has been with the company for more than a year. “I eat lunch with my mom almost every day. It’s nice to be able to eat lunch with your mom during work.” Thank you to Vickie and her family for being an important part of our family owned company! #MemberMonday
With more than 40 years of meat-industry experience, Chris knows what makes a great environment for someone with an interest in #foodscience. “It’s about the people. On our team, having a sound knowledge of food safety practices is a given. But if you are passionate about learning new things and growing in our career, you will fit right in.” Chris started at Johnsonville in 2007, as a Quality Coordinator. She’s held various positions since joining the company, and now is the Director of Food Safety & Quality. #MemberMonday If you’re interested in learning more about a research and development career with Johnsonville, check out our current opportunities at jobs.johnsonville.com! #hiring #careers #jobs

Johnsonville is deeply committed to benefiting the communities in which we live, work and play. Supporting our members who feel the same way is another way we help our communities. Members like Jim Chapman take advantage of our paid Service Time Off to volunteer in their #community. A Johnsonville Member since 2001, Jim enjoys sharing his cooking and grilling expertise with @NourishFarms, in Sheboygan, Wis. Nourish is the community’s good-food resource, providing education and experiences around the benefits of growing, cooking, sourcing and eating nutritious foods. “I am thankful that Johnsonville provides me opportunities to volunteer at Nourish. Working in their kitchen allows me to do what I’m passionate about while supporting the Nourish mission of educating our local community on food choices, and teaching kids that healthy food really tastes great!” #MemberMonday
Congrats to Johnsonville Member Danielle, who recently completed a mural on the side of George Michael’s bar in Downtown Sheboygan, Wisconsin! The wall, which is about 50 feet wide and 100 feet tall, was a blank canvas and now features Danielle’s artistic representation of the iconic Sheboygan Breakwater Lighthouse. She said her goal with the project was to incorporate more art into the town and open doors for other local artists. Congratulations, Danielle, on an incredible accomplishment, and thank you for your commitment to our local #community! #MemberMonday
