Christine started her Johnsonville career as a contract staff member working in a manufacturing plant. Since 2010, she has gained experience on multiple operations teams from supply chain to packaging. How did she continue to progress in her career, “I’m just a curious person who asks a lot of questions!” She says Johnsonville is a great place to work for anyone who wants to keep learning new things.
Chris has more than 40 years of experience in the meat industry. We asked her what makes Johnsonville a great place to work for someone with a food science background. “It’s about the people. On our team, having a sound knowledge of food safety practices is a given. But if you are passionate about learning new things and growing in our career, you will fit right in.”
Johnsonville members take great pride in their work. Liz from our food safety quality team loves her job because she gets to work with members across the organization, from product scientists to sanitation workers, with the common goal to produce a quality product for consumers and our families.
Molly has worked as a sensory scientist at Johnsonville since 2017. She loves that the sensory team works alongside the marketing and R&D teams using consumer insights to develop great products. “We’re trying out a lot of innovative and exciting things at our Johnsonville Tech Center…that I can’t talk about!”
Cole joined Johnsonville’s formulation team in 2009 and then moved to roles on both the sanitation and shipping teams. He had a culinary degree, a passion for recipe/menu development and aspired to work at our Tech Center developing recipes. He saw other members doing job shares to learn about different work experiences across the company and thought, “I want to do that.” At first, he spent four hours a week working at the Tech Center, in addition to his typical job duties. Then it expanded to eight hours, then two full days. Now, he works full time doing what he loves: creating recipes that showcase Johnsonville products.
Introducing Johnsonville member Spencer, who was CEO for a Day! As part of our United Way fundraising raffle, Spencer won a "CEO for a Day" experience. Last month, he spent time job shadowing our CEO Nick Meriggioli and also trained Nick on how to complete a maintenance shift at our Riverside plant.
Every year, our members nominate local non-profits to receive grant funding from Johnsonville. Thank you to Gerri who nominated Mental Health America; they were selected to receive a $7,500 donation to support mental health resources in Sheboygan county.
We love sharing our love of baseball and bratwurst with our fans at the Milwaukee Brewers "Brewers on Deck" event. #brewersondeck #thisisourcrew
Congrats to Curt from our Logistics team who was recognized by Food & Beverage Wisconsin (FaB) with a FaBfive award for extraordinary work in the food and beverage industry. Way to go, Curt!
A little trick-or-treat. A little peek-a-boo. And a lot of fun with our members and their kids. #Halloween #traditions #funatwork
