Kinecta Federal Credit Union participated in the Down Syndrome Family Resource Center’s (DSFRC) Annual Walk in the Park fundraiser to advocate for the value, acceptance, and inclusion of individuals with Down Syndrome, while celebrating the entire Special Needs community. The Down Syndrome Family Resource Center’s mission is to enhance the lives of people with Down Syndrome and their families through support, education, and advocacy. They strive to increase public awareness of people with Down Syndrome through recreational activities, social opportunities, and education programs.

The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues honored the newest recipients of its League Awards, Advocacy Awards, and Network Awards during its REACH Conference. In all, 24 industry leaders, volunteers, professionals, credit unions, and organizations were honored during a luncheon. Alvin George Outstanding Volunteer Award, which honors significant contributions by people who serve credit unions in volunteer capacities.

For the third year in a row, Kinecta Federal Credit Union was voted Best Credit Union in the South Bay in Easy Reader's 2023 "Best of the Beach" poll. The Easy Reader's annual online poll asks the community to vote for their favorite places to do business, shop and dine in the South Bay and surrounding areas. The "Best of the Beach" designation recognizes Kinecta's commitment to serving the South Bay community.
Kinecta received the Social Impact Award at the California and Nevada Credit Union League’s 48th annual REACH Conference. The award recognizes distinguished industry leaders who work to build stronger communities and improve members’ lives. Kinecta received this award for the DEI Council’s work in support of Covenant House, a non-profit youth homeless shelter that provides sanctuary and support for homeless and trafficked youth, ages 18-24. “We are dedicated to supporting our employees, members and communities with the mission of making a difference in the lives of those in need,” said President and Chief Executive Officer of Kinecta, Keith Sultemeier. “It’s an honor to be recognized for our efforts. Kinecta is proud of our devoted employees without whom none of this would be possible.” The League Awards is one of the industry’s most coveted peer-nominated awards honoring exceptional credit union leaders and volunteers in California and Nevada.

The LA Times hosted the second annual reader’s choice poll, where anyone could nominate and vote for the best people, places and services regionally, and Kinecta was voted the number one credit union provider in the South Bay. This means Kinecta’s members in Long Beach, South Los Angeles and the Southeast Los Angeles region made Kinecta their first choice for their banking needs. And, Kinecta is also a number one credit union finalist in Orange County.
