In recognition of National Nurses Month, we’re proud to shine a spotlight on a few of our many outstanding nurses who embody this year’s theme, “The Power of Nurses.” Meet Bessy, BSN, RN, of NYU Langone Hospital—Long Island and a recipient of a DAISY Award. She makes a difference every day by choosing to be present with her patients—simply listening and allowing them to feel human, seen, and cared for. “I serve as a bridge to convey how patients are feeling to the care team to ensure their care decisions reflect their needs.
