Here we grow again! We’re proud to announce two new executive-level additions to our growing Sharecare family. Welcome to Jaffry Mohammed and Kevin O'Laughlin, who have joined our leadership team in key roles to support growth acceleration across our Enterprise and Provider channels.
It’s been a big week at Sharecare! In addition to sharing strong results in our first quarterly earnings call as a public company, we also closed the acquisition of CareLinx, the nation’s leading digital on-demand platform of tech-enabled care providers. We’re excited to welcome the CareLinx team and its network of more than 450,000 medical and non-medical caregivers to the Sharecare family. As our CEO, Jeff Arnold, explained to Home Health Care News, each day, these caregivers are on the ground providing support on the families’ own terms, yet also collecting valuable health data, helping deliver care plans, and serving as advocates. Now, with the combination Sharecare and CareLinx, we’re strengthening and bringing a human touch to our flagship platform by helping our customers manage the “last mile” of care: the home. Research continues to show digital health tools and programs may hold keys that unlock some of our greatest health and well-being challenges. Last week, Dr. Jud Brewer, renowned neuroscientist and Sharecare’s executive medical director of behavioral health, and a Brown University research team published a study showing promising outcomes from Sharecare’s Eat Right Now program. Findings from the limited study show that participants experienced fewer episodes of stress eating and food cravings after using the app’s mindfulness training interventions. Additionally, by using the app’s unique craving tool, participants were able to reverse their brain’s enjoyment of overeating by engaging with the app as few as 10 to 15 times. The key takeaway? With mindfulness and the support of digitally enabled trainings and tools, we may be able to evolve our habits from harmful to healthy.

Based on more than 450,000 surveys and an analysis of 600 data elements related to social determinants of health, the 2020 Sharecare Community Well-Being Index state rankings – released today in partnership with Boston University’s School of Public Health – reveal that Americans remained resilient amid one of the most challenging years in recent memory, in which Massachusetts led the country in community well-being for the first time. The Bay State can attribute its top ranking to strong scores across both #SDOH and individual health risk factors. The state ranked among the top 10 for eight out of 10 well-being domains: financial well-being (#5), social well-being (#7), purpose well-being (#6), physical well-being (#5), community well-being (#6), housing and transportation (#2), healthcare access (#1), and food access (#7).
