As part of their 'LittleHats. BigHearts.' campaign to raise awareness for congenital heart defects during American Heart Month, the American Heart Association provided newborns at hospitals across the country with red caps. The hats are knitted and crocheted by volunteers, and donated in order to empower new moms, and their children, to live heart healthy lives.
Patients at Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta made coping packages for officers from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office to use with children when responding to stressful domestic calls. Residents also create similar packages as part of their own therapy.

Leadership at Laurel Ridge Treatment Center recently announced plans to construct a new 80-bed behavioral health facility to serve our Nation’s Military veterans.
