On Tuesday, Herschel Walker, All-American and Heisman Trophy winner, two-time National Football League Pro Bowler and U.S. Olympian, spoke with troops at Fort Bragg. Walker discussed his struggle with behavioral health issues and the importance in reaching out and asking for help. Working with UHS' Patriot Support Programs since 2008, Walker has shared his inspirational story to more than 150,000 troops.

Yoga, known for its ability to positively effect stress levels and improve mindfulness, is increasingly being used to treat #PTSD. "We decided to add yoga to our program in 2015 based on research showing that yoga has a lot of benefits for reducing stress in the body and the mind," said Megan Mould, clinical social worker at Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital's Military Resiliency Unit.

Last Wednesday, Clarion Psychiatric Center (CPC) held a beam raising ceremony to celebrate its 36-bed expansion project.
