“For the American economy to prosper, we need to guarantee opportunities for those who have been systematically left out and left behind,” says Year Up Founder & CEO, Gerald Chertavian on Fast Company. “It’s up to corporate America to live up to its promises to support racial justice reforms.” To achieve a more equitable economic recovery, employers need to take a hard look at their hiring and recruitment strategies and take action to create equal access to quality jobs. “It’s the single most important action companies can take to advance racial justice,” says Chertavian. The companies taking action are making a difference.
