Interview
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind I was not given the role due to being transparent and open at the end of the interview that i do not have childcare support during school holidays (and this area, Whitehaven providing no holiday clubs and asking if there was the possibility to use my entiled holiday allowance to be used to care for my child. I have all the relevant background, experience and credentials for the role...if anything over qualified not to toot my own horn ... so that can be the only reason I am left to presume as I was just sent a generated email to say I was unsuccessful. This is an appalling reflection on Boots and the utter in justice and equality for working mothers. You make a profile on Boots website - they do not ask for CV or any background information. You are then sent a assessment- it was long and tedious- that data then decides if you are "worthy" of an interview. My interview went very well - I was given senerios and what I would do in each. They interview manager states I was more than competent to fulfill the role and had more than enough experience- I asked about all the steps to progress - and said she knew I would be more than competent and she'd happily put me forward for the continual training to grow within the role, the interview was about to end - she came across to be very pleases with my performance and informed me she would call me in a couple hours - that's when I enquired about the holidays and informed her of my situation....and guess what...I received no call! And was sent a generated email 4 days later. I am glad as my child's care is a priority and if a company cannot understand there are hard working mothers out there that do not have the luxury of family members to care for their children during school holidays- that show empathy, humanity and consideration towards these circumstances- I am VERY! glad that my hard work would not be wasted in the company- and avoid the anxiety of entiled holiday hours being refused because I have a human being to look after.
I applied online. I interviewed at Boots (London, England) in Nov 2022
Interview
I passed the online assessment and was asked to book for an interview. When I went to the interview, the manager told me that he had already hired someone few days ago. I saw on here that others have had the same experience. I don't get why they just won't cancel if the position is filled.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The manager asked what days I can do so that he can recommend me to other branches. Why I want to work for boots and what I can offer.
Quite informal. Typical questions of what do you knoe about the business, tell me a time when you've gone above and beyond for someone, what do you kkow about pharmacy, why do you want to do pharmacy etc
