Pros

The franchise owner is the best person you could ever have as a boss/owner. He is very easy to talk to, great to work for and does his best to ensure that employees are happy. The manager is also very nice and easy to talk to as well as fun.

Cons

Pay advances are based on your quality of work. This is a plus for good workers but a minus for those that skate by on other workers coat tails. Not all employees are pleasant to work with. Some steal, lie, don't work, etc but they are always weeded out within a month or two.

Pros

Exciting retail business that is changing fast. Very hands on atmosphere with a relatively flat management structure that allows many opportunities to impact real world operations. Field staff have great latitude to schedule their time and dedicate resources to the store issues they find most important. Wonderful opportunities to learn basic management skills: if you can teach a bunch of minimum wage workers to keep a store running 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, you can probably manage just about anything.

Cons

Senior management often drags feet with bureaucracy. Can be very frustrating. Culture discourages creative thinking and the result is that the stores are stuck in the past and losing ground to more progressive competition.

Pros

As a field consultant you have more flexibility than most jobs offer. The salary was fair, plus benefits such as a company vehicle, profit sharing, health and dental, cell phone reimbursement, all add up.

Cons

Often times there are too many priorities, tasks are disjointed and come and go without consistency or follow up.
