Pros

- Friendly and open spaced office - Room to grow in your career - Able to suggest ideas openly - Collaboration options

Cons

- Room for growth can be stunted if you do not have experience for an internal role and they do not necessarily help you to get the training to be able to progress - Need to be more transparent - Need to provide more opportunities for team building in and out of office

If you are interested in investigating a new opportunity within the Company, I always recommend scheduling time with someone who is in that role or with the manager of that team. These informal, informational interviews are an excellent way to understand the day to day responsibilities of a job function as well as provide a good overview of what type of background (education, experience, etc.) the typical person filling a specific job function has. In addition to our 8x8 Academy, which can provide excellent self paced or classroom based training in a variety of technical and non-technical areas, we also provide tuition reimbursement for continuous education as part of our employee benefits.

I absolutely agree, we have an amazing, global family at 8x8! True to our values, we play to win and each and every employee is empowered to contribute to our success. We are evolving from a US centric company to a global one. That comes with growing pains but hopefully we are getting better every day.
