Pros

***SGS*** Autonomy, being outside, meeting amazing lease-turn in customers, but also getting the comfort of seeing regular faces at dealerships, driving straight on to the Manheim Auto Auction lot in your own vehicle, work-life balance, getting off in the mid-afternoon nearly every day but still making enough money to live. *ACV*: watching the stocks plummet after they drained your soul from your body, the back-payment from a previously denied unemployment claim that would have really helped me get to the new job before the first paycheck

Cons

Selling my unibody (mileage), having the greatest job in my life thus-far STOLEN from me, the daily novels from the founder talking about getting up at 5AM, running ten miles, and then taking a cold shower. (Okay, dude. sureeee)

Pros

Good product needed in industry Some very nice people working hard to succeed

Cons

Too many chiefs looking to FIRE hard working indians as a FIRST (lazy) solution. Mature and entry level markets have monthly one-size-fits-all quota expectation? Focused on IPO vs. loyal employee talent development and retention. (shoot- ready-aim, keep shooting until bullets are gone and we have a mess) Company call on strong financial stability Friday; Fired 50%+ Monday without warning. Not 'trust and transparency', definitely not 'calm persistency' as preached. Back room deals on employees, promotions, commissions, quotas happen without notice or opportunity, and are wildly inconsistent. GlassDoor HR msgs and initiatives sent to "pump" ratings internally; misleading. Executive ghost leadership managing one number without visiting market once or understanding the employee's will and skill to succeed. Performance measurement is inconsistent, misleading, misguided and misunderstood by our managers and fellow employees.

The Coronavirus slowed our industry down at the beginning of March and we unfortunately had to temporarily reduce the size of our team. Most of our affected teammates were temporarily furloughed and a very small percentage of the team was laid off. Our furloughed teammates have returned to work full time and our company is actively hiring across the country to keep pace with increased sales volume. We encourage our teammates to leave transparent Glassdoor reviews and we take all feedback seriously. ACV is committed to continuous improvement in all aspects of the business. If you'd like to discuss further, please reach out to us at reviews@acvauctions.com.

Pros

As many people have reached out to HR & Lawsuits pending. Why do you allow the dictator to manage. The most recent call we we are spending to much money when they indicated we need to spend more. You have had so many people quit in upper management from the arrogant dictator. I’m looking for a new position because of the lack of leadership and helping the customer. It’s absolutely embarrassing to work here.

Cons

It’s all CONs here. I have never been with a computer who had zero idea to forcasting goals. We are going to add 20 each month across the board.
