Tough Folks to work for

Pros

Used to be their compensation package and culture but they changed that. Seems that they lost sight of what is most important. That being their customers and employees who keep the customers,

Cons

Very high pressure environment. A lot of turnover with new management. Employees are not treated in a manner that makes you feel secure. Did not hear a lot of positives about owner once I got there. Not a place where you can plan on retiring from for sure.

Great Place to Work for "A" players

Pros

The team at AFS is one of the greatest benefits of the company. Each person has a genuine interest in the needs of other team members. We continually come together to accomplish great things and exceed expectations of our clients. While this doesn't always come easily it is a great testament to the team and their willingness to be an "A" player.

Cons

All the various locations of AFS are not functioning as "one" as those at the remote locations would like to see. For example, the corporate office has events that other locations are not included in or the option for those events are not offered to other locations. As we've seen some turn over within upper management it would be a huge benefit to the employees to offer more insight into the plan to address those gaps. This would ease some concern.

Pros

There have been lots of change to the company in the last 12 months. I think that if AFS takes care of their people and really listens to the people "in the field" then this can be a great company. The president cares for the employees and takes time to listen to anyone with concerns.

Cons

Lots of remote offices on different systems. Sometimes the EC does not see that change needs to be made in order to keep the great, long-term employees.
