Frustrating

Pros

Direct supervisor and team are great to work with

Cons

EC and upper management seem to be clueless with no vision and no plan for the future. Processes are cumbersome to do even simple tasks. Many high profile employees are leaving. Benefits are ridiculous, and all employees are treated as highly expendable.

The 2016 business plan will address many of these concerns and we plan to be simple and focused especially on processes and procedures. We are also committed to creating a culture of engaged and valued colleagues. Thank you for your feedback. We hope that you will soon see things in a new light.

Pros

-supportive, collaborative work environment -the friendliest of co-workers -great wages/benefits -management treats staff exceptionally well -paid holidays -paid time off -well stocked vending machine

Cons

If you don't enjoy positivity, productivity and a work environment where you're treated like an adult...then AFS probably isn't the sort of company you would want to work for...and that should seriously prompt you to wonder why.

On the road to ruin

Pros

There are literally none. Yes, some people are great to work with but every company offers the same thing.

Cons

-The owner and his son seem to believe they can acquire their way back into financial success...unfortunately, they have overpaid for each of the last three acquisitions and have yet to find a way to properly integrate each acquisition. -Close to 40% of the employees have been terminated/laid off but, not surprisingly, none of the "Yes Men" and "Good Ol' Boys" have been let go. -AFS lost a lot of customers in 2015 due to 1) the services not working - both in accordance with how they are sold or simply not working, 2) people becoming apathetic - I've heard "that's not my job" more at AFS this year than with all other years and companies combined, and 3) bad judgement on the part of the owner and his son - AFS will lose millions of dollars this year but they decided to break ground on a new corporate HQ anyway. -AFS proudly promotes its high ethical standards but I have witnessed the exact opposite. I, and other coworkers, have brought billing errors, failures to complete projects, and erroneous selling points and other concerns to the Executives, only to be told to "let it go", or "you don't know what you're talking about", or "I never made that commitment to that customer", or "let's hope they don't find out".
