This place is a joke!

Pros

There are smart people at the companies they bought. But the AFS corporate organization is a complete mess. It's only a matter of time before their customer base figures out what's going on and goes with someone else.

Cons

This company is a mishmash of random software companies they purchased with borrowed money. Zero integration between them. They pay little attention to their customers and are more concerned about proving to their investors that they are trying to do something ... which they aren't. I feel bad for the customers who were with the companies that AFS bought.

Pros

Results oriented people flourish here. AFS doesn't carry people so anyone not strong or a self starter will fail. Get to wear many hats and your day will never become monotonous. There are a lot of fun people and great customers.

Cons

Multiple projects at once - if you don't know how to say 'no', you'll get over tasked.

Pros

The staff at AFS are good, hard working individuals. The products would be geat if the development and technology direction wasn't so mismanaged.

Cons

The company is a dead end for anyone considering for a career. Management is dysfunctional and changes focus and direction on a monthly basis. Products simply don't work. Programming is outsourced to India with no management oversight or QA. Customer base is very dissatisfied as implementations are rough and last for years.
