Pros

They are in a cool new office space with an awesome new CEO. Most everyone is out of the office by 4:30 or 5pm and at 6pm the entire place is a ghost town.

Cons

Everyone from middle management up is out for themselves and their team. There is a culture of ‘me-first’ and exclusion. When someone quits, which happens all the time, they rarely backfill the position. Management is famous for ‘we just need to do it’ decisions. Ansira has acquired company after company and never makes any efforts to bring the offices/employees together, leading to division, frustration, clicks and awkwardness in the hallway. One of the worst parts is there is absolutely no accountability, especially at the leadership level. Don’t even get me started on the monster running the St Louis office. He is known to verbally lash and demean people. It is an accepted fact and has been for years and no one does anything. “That’s just him” is often the response. Are you kidding me?

Thank you for the honest and open feedback, we recognize that we have an opportunity to improve our culture, our leadership and integrating the companies that have become part of Ansira through past and future acquisitions. Over the next few months, you will see these changes implemented across the offices and within the leadership targeted specifically at creating a #1Ansira culture.

Pros

Lots of young people. Occasional fun events. Free beer and snacks on Fridays. Relaxed work environment. Laid back dress code.

Cons

Reviews have always been late. If you quit, transfer departments, or even get a promotion, you simply don't get your review/ raise. Management gives more work without more pay, saying things like, "that's a responsibility, not a promotion." Sometimes people even become a team lead without a change in title or pay. Management in St. Louis openly shares information about employee salaries in conversation. This was reported to HR, but the behavior persists. Our new CEO announced that reviews are all being cancelled until September. There will be no back-pay for those who had reviews due early in the year. She sent an email to management that this is a cost saving effort. She told the rest of the company it was to make sure the reviews are done perfectly. She offered a free copy of her own book to all the female employees. She did this by creating a separate email list for men and women. This became awkward when men found out from their female friends. Even as she cuts budget at the expense of her employees, she keeps insisting that she's making Ansira one of the "greatest places to work."

Pros

Nearly completely remote if desired, 401k match (they brought back after suspending), standard health benefits

Cons

Lack of opportunity for promotion (the company is top heavy and many of those at the top don't leave), management is becoming a revolving door (3 CEOs in 3 years), management turnover means it's easy for your growth and contributions to get lost and never recognized, lack of overall employee moral/desire to do well, lots of broken processes (or lack thereof).
