Pros

Never run out of work to be done Some People - There are some really great people just keeping their heads down and saying yes

Cons

Trust - This company was once one where you could trust your managers and you knew your peers had your back. Now it is a group of individuals that should never have been promoted (thanks DEI - and I'm a woman) or cut-throat peers that will work to remove the competition when it comes time for both promotions and layoffs. It's all about politics, not actually getting the work done. Whiplash - Ever changing direction. Some of these obviously unready to lead leaders do not know the business they are leading. A great leader doesn't have to know it all, but they should be willing to learn from their SMEs about the programs they are leading. The arrogance is amazing.

Pros

Smart team, knowledgeable people, good interview and hiring process.

Cons

- Siloed teams make cross-functional problem solving and projects challenging - I was hired for a new initiative to build the brand with customer testimony content, and barely was able to start creating a program plan to pressure test with the team before there was a downsize and I was let go. Hiring someone for a new position and laying them off due to "lack of budget" four months later is just bad planning and horrible for your employer brand. They lost tens of thousands of dollars on hiring me and then severancing me only months later.
