Worst Place to work!

Pros

get experience and get out!

Cons

Their studies are money driven not science driven. They will throw you into something with no training, then you mess up and they reprimand you for not knowing what you were doing. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! Shady owners, shady managers, wouldn't trust any data that comes from this place.

As a CRO we are both quality and accuracy driven. We believe in getting things done the first time around. It is unfortunate that some new hires that have so much to get entrenched in, would jump the gun and to conclusion. I am the CEO and I believe all the scientists at BTS stand behind their work. We have an excellent track record with all regulating agencies. I am pleased to understand the person with this post was able to use the entry level position they have gotten at BTS and become more attractive to a new hire. Good luck.

Poor management, poor company

Pros

On the job experience due to under-staffing. (Mostly self-taught) techniques, interaction with Sponsors. Based is San Diego, which is nice. Not much else nice to say.

Cons

Untrustworthy management, undelivered promises, under-staffing, low pay, long hours, poor quality science, second-hand equipment, poor organizational skills, no opportunities for promotion or raises, and the list goes on. Many good employees come and go due to poor management, undelivered promises and poor company culture. Get any promises/bonuses/payment agreements in writing from this company.

Thank you for the feedback. Change does not come in a few days, especially when it has to wait for a brick and mortar new facility that was being built. We value an employee that put's in their best, be it as the post says long hours or dealing with minimal supervision. To be a winner with any employer, I believe it is very important to do one's best and to follow corporate goals and supervisor's guidance. BTS senior management has well over 300 years of practical experience in top firms. Thank you for the reference to Ford recreation, I think it is a remarkable story and I know BTS has made a fast stride from it's incubation in the toughest times ever to become one of the leading CRO's in California and have helped dozens of companies make it to the finish line successfully. I am proud to say that BTS has served many small and large (fortune 50) companies with excellent results. We cannot do any of this without the faith we have in our employees to ask for help when they need it and to feel that they can work independently as well. Thank you

A horrible place to work or have research done...

Pros

there are no pros to this place

Cons

Obviously the good review above has been written by one of the owners of the company. As a former employee who left this company of my own free will, I can say that this is a horrible place to work or have any research be submitted to as a customer for so called “high quality data”. BTS is a very unprofessional environment that breaks the rules to gain profit, also they treat their staff and subjects with the lowest regard.

Thank you for the post ex-employee! The month this post was placed was the same month we moved into our new facility. It was tough on our new entry-level staff to go through the move even though our operations team made every effort to assure that no studies were affected by the move. Regrettably, some of the employees didn't see the fact that BTS moving to a new facility was one of the key milestones to deliver BTS to meet the growth into a mid size with higher capacity and more advanced processes.
